Llwyddo'n Lleol 2050

ARFOR – Llwyddo’n Lleol 2050 is here to show you that exciting opportunities and an exciting future are available here in Wales’ western areas. ARFOR is a joint programme with the Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Gwynedd and Anglesey County Councils looking at using entrepreneurship and developing the economy to support the Welsh Language strongholds and, by doing so, sustaining the language.

Llwyddo’n Lleol 2050 is one of the ARFOR Programme’s projects. With the emigration of families and young people being recognised as one of the main reasons for the decline in the number of Welsh speakers in these strongholds. Llwyddo’n Lleol 2050’s aim is to persuade young people and families who are at risk of leaving, or have already left, that having a bright future is possible, with a good job within an exciting field in their native community.

There are 4 elements to Llwyddo’n Lleol which are:

Gyrfaol Initiative

This element will draw attention to the career and social opportunities that exist in the ARFOR area. Through this element, Llwyddo’n Lleol 2050 will highlight the exciting companies that operate within innovative fields in West Wales through using examples of people who work in these fields.

Mentro Initiative

This element will offer a series of training programmes over the scheme’s duration to support groups of individuals that share the same interest, in order to develop a business idea or respond to a challenge.

Ymgartrefu Initiative

This element will consist of spending time with small groups of families and young people who are currently living outside of the ARFOR area in intensive sessions.

Profi Initiative

Take a look at this very website to discover more about this Initiative. We are currently working in partnership with Llwyddo’n Lleol to display the range of opportunities available for you to develop a successful career and lifestyle within the ARFOR area (Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Gwynedd and Anglesey).
